earthquakes, beer, and hearses

I suppose I could have learned something useful today, but here's what I have instead:

• Because I seem to lack the ability to sit still, I missed it, but the earthquake my mom felt yesterday was a 4.4.
• There was some doubt in a courtroom, apparently, but it has been confirmed that Miller Genuine Draft really is beer.

Also, if you registered your car as a noncommercial hearse in New Zealand, you'll be getting a phone call.
